>strength-hexer build
>buff Crypt Blacksword with Dark Weapon
>character walks like a retard afterwards

Why does the game do this? I think it happens anytime after you use any weapon in your off hand (staff, chime, bow, crossbow, and maybe even actual weapons).

Forgot to post the link to video I took of the glitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwajY10DRSk
>>
you did it. you found the one flaw with dark souls 2

in all reality it's probably because you can't run the game faster than 20 fps
>>
>>378800882
Probably just the game punishing you for being a faggot hexer.
>>
>>378801359
>you did it. you found the one flaw with dark souls 2

We get it, you don't like Dark Souls 2. Congratulations. At least Dark Souls 2 has real poise. Anyways I highly doubt the fact I have a underpowered laptop is why this is happening. I've experienced this before when I had a much better laptop awhile back. It even happens in SOTFS iirc.
>>
>>378801030
You were literally already jogging like that...

It looked a little more 'burdened' after you buffed so I guess somehow you triggered the stamina drained jogging animation.
>>
>>378801579
>character is using a greatsword that is naturally imbued with dark
>can infuse it with more dark somehow
>can also buff it with dark weapon
>it can do 1,800 damage to some enemies with a backstab
>hexes late game can two-shot and one-shot most players
You're just salty because of how op dark magic is.
>>
>>378802004
Not really, I haven't played Da2 in ages. Really you're just reinforcing how much of a faggot you are for needing to use op shit.
>>
>>378801992
the difference is slight but it definitely ruins the look of my character when he's doing that stamina drained jogging. If I do it with my other "main" weapon (a +10 dark drakekeeper's sword) my character doesn't walk like that afterwords.

Tell me, how many hits from a two-handed dagger or rapier can someone in full Havels withstand?
>>
>>378802154
think that if you want but if it's any consolation another character i'm doing just for "fun" will be using the imported set you get at the beginning of the game (before you even make your character) all the way until drangleic castle because it's a Bearer of the Curse roleplay build.
>>
>>378800882
hbombfag btfo

how will he ever recover
>>
>>378802383
everyone says that daggers and rapiers can stagger about anything in dark souls 2 but i'm sure that only happens to people who don't have the right stats and set up. I I will admit though that I think that rapiers and daggers have some glitchy stun-locking abilities. They needed to be nerfed but never got nerfed. My experience with poise in dark souls 2 has let me tank hits from Ruin Sentinels and another large humanoid enemies and finish attacking them completely without being staggered. I don't aim to let myself get hit by large enemies like them but if I do and I have the right armor, stats and set up (rings, etc) I can tank some pretty fucking large enemies.
>>
>>378802815
Nah, poise is properly fucked. It has been since launch and will remain that way forever. Just look at the breakpoints required.

it's just a weird glitch thing, if you hold your shield up it auto fixes itself
>>378803000
we get it you hate the game because it's not dark souls 1 tier poise, move on with your next point on why you hate Dark souls 2
>>
>>378803000
nice trips

I understood some of that graph and if I understood it right rapiers can do some insane poise damage. Either way it doesn't change the fact that with a good amount of adp, upgraded heavy armor, and the ring of giants +2 I could withstand a lot of attacks before being staggered.
>>
>>378803423
>it's just a weird glitch thing, if you hold your shield up it auto fixes itself
thanks anon, stupidly I didn't try that for some reason. I tried doing a jumping attack and a bunch of other shit and it was still there.
>>
>>378803437
Not really, look at the values from the first game and compare. Some attacks in DS2 are literally un-poisable. And most attacks drain about 70-90% of MAX poise available in a single 2H attack.

Speaking of Dark Souls 2, recently started the game and already killed Last Giant and I have no idea where to go next. I hit the first bonfire at Shaded Woods and I dunno if I should be there or not because the tower is the other place to go from Majula but seems like that place is meant for little later on. I no problems navigating in the first game.

Also how do you get Guts' sword in OP pic?

I'm playing PS4 version(Scholar of the First Sin) BTW.
>>
Op here, I was watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwajY10DRSk and it sucks because even though its better than dark souls 3 of course the player has poise in scenarios he shouldn't.
>>
>>378804063
It's Crypt Blacksword, a boss soul weapon from later in the game.
>>
>>378804063
explore more of the area you're in (the forest of fallen giants). There may or may not be another boss for you to fight. Also there are three areas you have not accessed as far as I know (based on what you said). One can't be accessed without a ring that prevents fall damage, it's down that huge pit , this other area requires a key that is obtainable two ways, the other you can get there just by traveling through this tunnel.

The sword I'm using is the Crypt Blacksword which you get from a extra soul The Rotten drops in NG+, or by using a bonfire ascetic in NG.
>>
Man I miss this game. Sacred chime hammer plus dark weapon was the SHIT. Most goofs would not know whats happening when you did the special attack with the chime and get hit by the orbs

I bet you a lot of people in dark souls 3 miss that weapon. It would be perfect for a Corrupted Paladin build.

also
>yfw I never left dark souls 2 because I can't run dark souls 3 on my laptop
>>
>>378804643
Thanks. Yeah I got DaS2 and Bloodborne off that Extended Play Sale on the PSN Store last week so I will be juggling between those 2.
>>
>>378804840
>>378805140
ooh and I just thought of something, if that weapon was in dark souls 3 it might actually make that bell clang sound that it makes when Velstadt uses it in his boss fight. That would be pretty fucking cool.
>>
>>378805203
nice, i'm not a fan of bloodborne even though it's a beautiful game but i'm sure you'll enjoy it. I don't like it because it inspired too much of dark souls 3's combat. If super fast combat is your thing then you'll love bloodborne.
>>
>>378804643
down that huge pit in Majula is what I meant to say.
>>
>>378805392
I gotten a bit deep into it. Already killed Cleric Beast and Gasionge so far.

I could just imagine the CLANG it would make while smacking some poor sod to death
>>
>>378801675
It actually doesn't have real poise at all. Poise gives you super-armor on attacks, while actual poise just give you stagger-protection no matter what you're doing, even if you're standing still. Nice try though.

i'm genuinely smiling at the thought of that. ugh, why didn't they just make it do that in dark souls 2? Such lost potential. Pic fucking related.
>>
>>378803423
I booted up Dark Souls 2 again and yeah it does fix this glitch. Thanks again man.

>>
>>378803890

Not him, but do you really want to use DaS1 as the metric for good poise?
Poise was silly in DaS1.

I think DaSII has a good balance between poise being too good in DaS and poise being non-existent in DaSIII.

Googled it for about 5 minutes and I found out the reason this glitch is occuring, OP. It seems like you've been playing a shit game, have you tried switching it off and keeping it that way?

meanwhile the glitches keep on happening. This Retainer tripped down the stairs and got stuck there in this animation.
>>
>>378812812
Animations glitches can be found in any game honestly.

Worst souls glitch I've had is still in das1 though. So at least they seem to get less buggy each time
>>
>>378813091
true. and those Retainers in Eleum Loyce are programmed to be clumsy and ditzy to try and throw you off I suppose. I just find it cute until you expose your back to a group of them by accident and they chain back stab you.

Also I just found out that apparently their death screams attract nearby enemies (like even if they are out of sight?).

>death screams attract nearby enemies
Yup, good stuff once you figure it out. Until then it can get you killed

There are a lot of things in all the games I never knew for so many playthroughs
>>
>>378805140
Man I love Velstadt's design and weapon, but his boss fight is so god damn underwhelming.
>>
>>378813797
His theme is pretty nice. Probably the only track in the game I cared for.
