Sigma 2 has a worse frame rate, the gore is removed and replaced with purple gas, there is a significant delay between a button press and the attack that follows, and the shop system is different and terrible.

But it does have quite a bit more content

They cut the max framerate and enemy count in half but the framerate is still somehow not stable. There's also a bunch of really bizarre shit like how the game has to stop to load when you open a chest when that wasn't the case in the 360 version.
The extra content isn't as shitty as the Rachael sections in Sigma 1 but it's probably not worth all the other downgrades.

It improves performance somewhat (mostly by reducing the on-screen enemy count, which is arguably worse though that's up to opinion) but the censorship of the gore is downright insulting. A big part of the appeal of that game was how you could tear up enemies and replacing it with the stupid purple mist just sucks.

Blood and gore is replaced with pink fog, there's more loading, and the enemy count is less than 1/4th.

That said, the game is outright more playable than the vanilla version. Vanilla NG2 was mostly made by cookieface hearing what the playtesters had to say and then doing everything the literal opposite. The end result is a game that's completely unfair and almost unplayable at times.

Stay away from sigma 2 it's censored and piss easy.

This game makes me so mad that there isn't a definitive version yet, Ninja Gaiden 2 Master Ninja runs might aswell be matrix movies.

Now that TN fell for the Souls clone meme, Capcom is spiraling downhill, P* is in a bad shape and westerners have been collectively neutering the genre for two gens straight to the point where everything is a glorified QTE, who will save the action genre?
