the 1st one was way better.

Can I get a quick turquoise pill on these games?
>>
>>378801598
Basicly, roller skating and graffiti is outlawed, so you are a rebel gang, going against other rebel gangs, to tag turfs, and oppose the police. And it gets pretty damn insane, the police force just starts sending in tanks, attack choppers, and highly trained assassin's against these skating teens. But pretty much the goal of the game is to spray graffiti, and in the original case, within a time limit
>>
Surprise PC Xbone remaster at E3? Hopefully.
>>
>>378802261
Honestly they REALLY need to, it's better than the original in my opinion, but please please please not make it limited to microsoft
>>
Bought this for 5 maple bucks in a 2pack in agme with sega gt.

did I do well?
>>
>>378802179
Should I start with the first one and if so can I play it without a DreamCast?
>>
>>378802372
I doubt they would do that for a remaster, also if anything, the way MS has gone, it will be timed exclusive to PC further kicking the Xbone in the dick, which seems to be a hobby of theirs'
>>
>>378802562

Starting with either is fine. Future is in another continuity. The original has an HD port with better controls.
>>
>>378802562
There's HD releases on pretty much everything, even PC.
But future remains on xbox, which has no working emulator
>>
it kind of blows my mind that most of /v/ prefers future over the original. they just made it open world and made the gameplay way easier.

REMASTER FUCKING WHEN IS SEGA FUCKING RETARDED?
>>
>>378802756
I think most prefer there being no time limit, because the environments are amazing, and imho the soundtrack is better in future
>>
>>378802691
Cool, thanks.

That's not a problem, I was actually playing Ninja Gaiden Black on mine earlier today.

It's not close to 100%, but it's very recent. Someone's finally picking up the slack.
>>
>>378802756

I love both but Future's levels are incredible. They're huge but you know, actual environments and not open-world shit. A joy to skate around in.

>>378802756
I wasn't a fan of the time limits, inability to gain speed while grinding, or the unbeatable cops so JSRF did it for me better.

Is Hover : Revolt Of Gamers any good? I want something to scratch my JSR itch.
>>

you know theres a reason why sega never acknowledges the games they released exclusively on xbox and 360.

Way better than the original, and I've played the original to death and unlocked everything. Only downside was the removal of interactive spraying, but it balanced out with faster gameplay. The characters were much better for the most part, but there was still the clone syndrome due to limited stat distribution. Still, that huge roster was fun to play with.

I wish there was something like Future, but with online play, better stat distribution, and a spraying mini-game. Zero beat needs to be unlockable too. Hover is cool, but the art direction isn't what I want it to be, and it's been in development for quite a while now. Has potential though, we'll see.
>>
>>378803531
Wow, why the fuck did he not at least research it a bit more, maybe that would have made him at least ask around forums what to do.
>>
>>378803868
I just checked the page and Hover launched yesterday. Might have to check it out now.
>>
Is Hover any good?

More importantly, is the soundtrack any good?

Your man Hideki "Funkiest Man Alive" Naganuma contributed 2 tracks to the OST. Good shit.

>the 1st one was way better.
nah
I know some people are unhappy with how they changed the gameplay focus in the sequel and I understand why they get upset over that but JSRF has:
>better controls
>more control with the tricks
>much faster speed
>landing on grind rails is more consistent and reliable
and that alone makes me consider the sequel to be superior
>>
>>378803987
>is the soundtrack any good?
Composer of the other two worked on it so probably.
>>
>>378803987
I played a few minutes and the controls feel a little delayed but not slow and sluggish like JSR but they are noticeable when jumping around. I can't judge the game right now though, but first impression though, it doesn't have the charm and soul of JSR series.

None of them sold well, the only reason we got jsr was due to the big wave of dreamcast and saturn era games being ported as part of their business strategy at the time, and that stopped after dc.

Checked out Hover. It handles really fucking well and you can do stuff like graffiti and all the tricks you can expect from JSR. There's some mild character customization involved as well, and you can play with people online. Environments give me a pretty reminder of some from Future, but the artstyle is somewhat different.

Music is pretty good too, haven't heard much of it though. The tracks that are in the beginning are pretty great though. I'll probably spend a few hours playing it tomorrow, but it feels worth it for the price right now.
