It's looking like T-Rex didn't have feathers. We have tail impressions, neck impressions, and thigh impressions, none of which are feathered. No therapod we've seen is feathered without those places also being feathered. There is a mostly preserved full impression of a juvenile T-Rex and it doesn't have feathers either. Those Sauian guys are too hung up on it, their T-Rex model would be great if not for the nonsense feather pattern. It's possible they could have been feathered in that way but it's looking highly unlikely that they were, so to go with the less likely interpretation seems dishonest.
