He's trying to do the thing that a lot of critics do. That is, identifying different reasons people play "games." However "experience" is too vague. He is basically lumping everyone who doesn't play a game for its plot or gameplay into one box. In this box are people who play for mood, simulation, spectacle, and visual design. Some of those overlap but I don't think they're the same.
The issue of game ontology is also lurking behind the whole video but he never addresses it. He even uses "game" in two different ways, once to mean "digital entertainment" and another time to mean it in the stricter sense when he says Inside isn't good as a game. This would be a great opportunity to say "people obviously enjoy these things even though they're obviously bad games. Perhaps we should call them something else so they can get their fair shot as whatever they are instead of being tried as a game?"
I also disagree with what he says at 8:58. Obviously feelings can't really be wrong since they don't make claims, but claims about a work of artistic quality can be wrong. Saying "I liked The Last Guardian" isn't wrong but saying "The Last Guardian is a good game" is probably wrong.
