I was part of a pixel art/spriting community pre-2010 where everyone thoughtlessly shat on anything 3D or vector drawn. They'd bully new/young artists and play victim when they get pushed back.

I left after I saw a thread where a bunch of people bullied a developer into scrapping his game and an admin thanked all their posts.
