I don't really cry in games, or anything for that matter. I do have one weakness though, and that is loyalty or respect when in danger. I'm bone dry when a loved one gets slaughtered but all a guy has to do is hold a fucking door to save someone and I'm tearing up. So any game that concentrates on the loyalty of a person fucking kills me. I didn't feel much in MGS3 but that scene where Snake saluted at Big Boss's grave got the waterworks going.

I worry I don't cry enough. I haven't wept yet for my cousin that passed away last year. The most I've cried in recent years was watching a video of a guy taking his dog in to have him put down. After they administer the shot and the dog is dead, he's still holding onto him when his wife says "He's gone, let him go, he's gone." I have no idea why that killed me but hearing a loved one died young did not.

Mgs3 broke me the second time I played through it. Mass Effect Andromeda.

I've played a lot of games, some of them got me a little teary eyed, but I've otherwise been pretty okay during the sad parts. There were a lot of points that nearly got me, but Ending E was was got me the most, although it didn't get the tears flowing.

After trying again and again for maybe two hours without internet and just getting sick of it, at some point the internet came back up and the game asked me if I wanted to connect to the network. I chose yes and took a break for a bit, and after a bit of doing whatever I was doing, I see shit happening on the screen out of the corner of my eye. Seeing all those messages cheering me on and telling me to not give up got me a wee bit emotional. Even more so when the game asked if I wanted to receive help and it turned out people sacrificed their save game data, their hours and hours of gametime, just for the sake of helping some stranger finish the game. It was good. Nier Automata is pretty good.
