It's your average modern Telltale game. I gave the first chapter a 6.5/10. Has some funny moments and decent voice acting, plot isn't really set up yet.

No game will ever look like that in real time unless it has a veritable army of artists, modelers, and animators working around the clock for 4-5 straight years with a multiple hundred billion dollar budget. To make something like that work in real-time isn't going to be an issue with tech, but studios will hit a hard limit in terms of man hours required to physically produce that many assets.

4 titan X were able to render real time a Luminous Engine tech demo. A single Volta GV100 was able to render in real time a FFXV Kingsglaive scene. Games can look like that but needs a lot of culling since they are not working with still frames but a whole set of props and calculations. Just look what they cold do with Uncharted 4 with a shitty PS4. If we have at least 7 teraflops GPU on the next consoles we will get really imersive graphics at 30fps 1080p

It's not that video games are behind, it's that we don't have months to render one single frame, we have 16ms and a single or sometimes dual GPU setup to do it. Not exactly comparable in any kind of fair way
