no pic related gr2 was disappointing.

Dark Souls.
>>378772591
It improves on GR1 in every single way.
>>378770719
I hope you're wrong. I've been putting off GR2 because of how much I liked the first one, just so I have something to look forward to.

>shit tier side missions
>terrible camera
>talisman upgrade system is stupid as fuck
oh yeah, the 2nd one is SOOO much better
>>378772461
>>378772591
I think GR1 and 2 succeeded at different things.
GR2 had more time to flesh things out and expanded on environment size and gameplay, but I didn't find the new city half as interesting as the bizarre things that happened in Hekseville.
>>378772591
Name one single thing that GR2 didn't improve.
>>378772761
>shit tier side missions
GR1 has bad side missions too and you pay separately for them.
>terrible camera
It works perfectly fine. It's pretty much the same as the first game.
>>378772761
Oh sorry i forgot about all those sidequests in the first game, i literally did because they're so forgetable.
>>378772591
They have their respective ups and downs but overall I think GR2 is the better game, though I love both.
>>378772860
The second half of GR2 is top tier. It just takes a bit of filler to get there.

>Implying that GR1 actually had any good side missions either
I don't see what you mean in with th talisman system. How is it stupid?
>>378772761
All the talisman system really meant to me was gravity meter recharge buffs. I mean, I did other shit with it but that was by far the most useful. I'm not gonna complain about it though, gives you a degree of customization which is never a bad thing. GR1's upgrade system was much more rudimentary IMO. As for the other two points, those weren't any better in GR1.
>>378772761
The sidequests were literally nohting in the first game, except for the ones you have to pay for and even those are just walking aruond a bit except for one.
The upgrade system in GR1 was basicly just normally leveling up and increasing stats for the most part. In GR2 you level up through side quest and main quest progress und the actual upgrade system has good customization, you can be a kicking machine or throw 14 items at once or go all speed for race challenges etc.
>>378770719
This is not true.
The first game isn't better. The second one improved on pretty much everything. I didn't find the side missions that bad.
>>378770719
They're both complete shit but GR2 is better pal.
>>378770719
Nier
2 is still bretty gud though.
>>378772761
>>378773481
The only non-DLC side mission that GR1 really had was the scavenger hunt to find those lost scientists.
But it was probably my favorite subplot in either game.
>>378773551
The first game has a better gravity slide IMO. It controls much more tightly, especially on PS4 where you don't have to use launch-era Vita controls to turn. Hell of a QOL improvement, that change. Aside from that, kinda hard to say anything in the first game was explicitly better, though some of it like characterization and ambience is on par. I guess the gravity kick is better in the first in that it's OP as fuck.

Dead Rising
>>378773819
It was better than the main story, when their theme was playing I never wanted it to end

>>378773828
In GR1 I didn't upgrade anything other than gravity kick the whole game.
I love all of them but the first is still the best
>>378773828
Oh, and the first game definitely has a better credits theme. Douse Shinundakara is probably the best song across both games and that's saying a lot.
>>378774043
For the sake of maxing Kat out I did but upon replaying it via Remastered after playing through 2 stasis isn't useless in it either once you buff it a level or two. Lv 1 Stasis is fucking awful in 1 though and it's DEFINITELY better in 2. Stasis is 2's gravity kick, it's so fucking busted.
>>378774448
Excellent taste.
>>378773828
Someone post that gravity rush slide webm where it is 10 times better than the first game.
>>378773828
First game had better story missions. I mean most were pretty bland but still better than 2's being mostly bad. Mission 12 is one of the worst things I've ever played.
>>378775334
You can do much cooler shit with it in 2 especially when mixed with style shifting but in terms of tightness of control I've gotta give it to 1.
>>378775572
Mission 12 was definitely a colossal mistake but I didn't dislike GR2's story missions otherwise. I enjoyed them about the same, 1's rift planes being a bit better than 2's I suppose. Now 1's story is perhaps a bit less of a clusterfuck but they're both clusterfucks so that's like winning the Special Olympics.
