Whats the difference between chain combos and link combos?
chains don't require timing, you just press the sequence and it happens. links require timing the next attack after the previous attack ends.

Chain=MK style dial-a-combo
Links=require timing

This. Links are harder because you're not canceling moves You are waiting for the animation to end on a move before the next input. This requires timing.

Are chains and target combos the same?
Maki needs to be in SF V. She's best girl.
I always thought combo chains and links were the same thing?

yeah

In SF, the distinction is made because light punches can generally be chained into each other indefinitely, but heavier normals can only be canceled into specific other normals which is then called a target combo. Often target combos result in unique attacks that you can't get in any other way, but otherwise they're functionally the same.

I want to chain link her combo
>>378764510
target combos usually require no directonal input and is just a sequence of button presses. In motion I guess they are similar but not really.
would Marvel-style combos be a combination of links and chains?
>TWO (2) Final Fight characters are being added this season
>None of them are Maki
it hurts
