Why on earth would he do that

He's pretty good at not doing that, and arguably better at stealthing around than snake is. Truth is canonically Snake is a good soldier and that's about it, nobody ever makes him out to be an ultimate sneak master, he can do survival stuff and shoot things and CQC people but he's not really a stealth expert, he's the guy who "sneaks" around in a fucking box and the only time ever really talk to him about how good he is at not getting caught is when the player gets a good rank in a mission or whatever

It's a plot armor thing and Snake has less plot armor.

Put in some hypothetical situation where we ignore that, and give them both a "fair shot" and assume they're moving to disable one another, I think it's more in Batman's court. He has better equipment and his field agents are more competent. He disseminates and develops his own intel and has a better understanding of strategy because of it. With that said, only Snake can hide under a cardboard box and get away with it.

Hard to say I think but Snake might pull ahead because he was literally created for combat and to be the best soldier. I think his training and background might surpass Batman's combat training. Modern batman has a lot of bullshit future tech though that would make the fight hard for Snake. So I guess it depends on what era of Batman you're talking about.

Nigga did you even play the games? Snake is known as "The man who makes the impossible possible", and is considered the greatest living soldier on earth.

In terms of combat ability, I'd give it to Snake. He's been training to be a killer since he was a child - Batman didn't start until he was a teenager (or further beyond). In regards to gadgets and shit, Batman has the upper hand, but even Snake had his own crazy ass rogues gallery and came out on top.

Batman has a much, much higher level of intelligence, so I'll give him that. Both are master tacticians as well - in the end, I'd give it to snake simply because he has far more experience. He's been doing this shit since he was literally a child.
