That 'leak' and all the others lately have been confirmed fake, but with the amount of attention a Bloodborne sequel has been getting over the past few weeks specifically I wouldn't be surprised if some of it is Sony viral marketing just to get it into the fore of people's minds for when they do announce a sequel, if indeed one is being worked on. If it is then it either won't be developed by From or if it is then it won't be out for three years at least, given that Miyazaki said they have three games in development currently of which none are sequels. From also try and release one game a year so if everything goes according to plan then Bloodborne 2 at the earliest won't release until 2020.

No, they aren't. They've done platform exclusives for Nintendo and Microsoft too. They work for whoever is willing to pay them, it's that simple, and they release for whatever platform that payer wants.

Pretty much. The PC versions of the DaS games only happened because of Namco. Miyazaki doesn't seem to care what platform his games are on provided they get released at all. That said they sold themselves to Kadokawa back in 2014 to prevent Namco trying to make a move on them and Kadokawa said specifically that they wanted From for niche multiplat titles, and given Bloodborne was in development during all this Sony of course would have offered to buy them. Given Miyazaki loves working with Sony but didn't want to become a Sony studio, I think as a whole he wants From to keep making multiplats even if he himself just keeps making Sony games.

He said specifically that they're done with sequels and that from the 3 games they're working on, 1 of them 'complies with fan expectations in a straightforward manner' and the other 2 are completely different to Souls. He sounded way more interested in the other 2 games too, so I imagine any future Souls games will be done the Dark Souls 3 way where he works full time on something he actually likes and just tells a middleman what he wants for the game without having too much involvement in the actual development, like a literal ideas guy.

Quite possibly, but then the terminology can be misleading he may be specifying the souls trilogy and not bloodborne, which he already claimed was over with III. Also I think he'll have a fairly big hand in both titles now, and it seems like From aren't that close to Sony at the moment, they haven't mentioned Japan Studio recently at all. I think one game will be totally new and probably multiplat and the other is either a port or bloodborne sequel.

Nah Sony own Bloodborne 100% and funded it completely. Sony themselves approached From over a new exclusive after they saw how well Dark souls performed and realised shitting on Demon's Souls was a mistake and offered to foot the bill entirely for a new exclusive, which Miyazaki jumped on because why the fuck wouldn't you spend someone else's money on your dream project if they're offering to let you make whatever you fucking want with it? Bloodborne is never coming to PC unfortunately, or if it somehow DOES it won't be until the game is like 10 years old.

Also the guy who leaked Bloodborne initially on NeoGAF as well as a bunch of other Sony stuff that turned out accurate said that From actually signed a three game contract with Sony, so if his information is FULLY accurate then they still have another two games to make for them. Of their three games, one is probably the next exclusive, one is confirmed to be a new Armored Core game (will be a multiplat since the last few were, PC is likely) and the other is a multiplat that is probably the new Souls like game they're doing, but that one sounds low priority and it'll be Armored Core and Exclusive game out first.

I'm pretty sure the exact wording he used was 'no sequels of any kind' or something along those lines, but I don't have the article saved anywhere so I can't confirm. Also there was that pic a few months ago of Miyazaki and Shuhei Yoshida as well as a bunch of other Sony guys having lunch somewhere, which seems kind of odd given their last collaborative project was The Old Hunters back in 2015. I don't see why they'd still be meeting if their wasn't something else in the works, Bloodborne sequel or new exclusive regardless.
