Is stressful, you start with little to no resources, the ghost people is fun to engage, is cool to explore the villa and casino.

Same with Lonesome Road. I know is not the best and has man flaws, but the feeling of ''last level'', with all those enemies and shit to ''collect'', walking trough the ruins with only ED-E and Ulysses holotapes keeping you company.

I suppose dead money. I really like the story and setting, I really like all the companions and Elijah , plus the story of Vera and Sinclair. I liked the challenge the radios provided.

I like honest hearts as well, but that's mainly for best bro Joshua. I fucking wish I could kill Daniel without turning everyone against me. He's the fucking worst.
OWB is fun as well though once I beat it I couldn't bring myself to search for the rest of the upgrades.

Lonesome Road is a letdown. The way they handled which faction the game thinks your part of was sloppy to say the least and it took me out of it when Ulysses acts like I'm helping the NCR and not House just because my rep is higher. Plus with Ulysses it feels like Avellone went too far with the FLAG, SYMBOL, BEAR AND BULL shit and it comes off as really edgy and pretentious.

That's a weapon pack but it does add a nice looking revolver to the game. The new vegas bounties series (namely 1 and 3) has two revolvers as well. Hell if you take the one you get in 1 with you to 3 you get special dialogue, and a perk that makes you do 25% more damage with just that revolver if you kill the final boss with it.

They both have unique names, Sweet revenge and Old Scratch.

/vg/ is for GENERALS, not just a thread about a game. THe reason /vg/ was made was not because people were making a ton of threads about games over and over again, it was because they were making generals. That is different. Generals are functionally very different from other threads, even recurring ones. There is often various links and files made by anons, and tripcodes start to appear more often. These threads are all disconnected. Despite the OP using the same joke (memorable quote from New Vegas with a random word replaced with "New Vegas Thread" in spoilers). A general is more of a community. Generals rarely actually have game discussion, they're often circlejerks about ingame waifus and filled to the brim with dumb questions like "What mods should I use", "Whats the best way to build for or use X", or "How do I do X", no real discussion. It's absolutely terrible.

And not only that, what you're doing is breaking global rules 3, 6, 8, and 10. These New Vegas threads are different from generals. It isn't the same thread reoccurring. If people were linking to the previous New Vegas thread on /v/, continuing discussion from previous threads, and so forth, then it would be a reoccurring thread, along with the fact that you are breaking /v/ rules 1 and 3. Sure, I'm breaking a rule in the creation of this post, but its because you're being an idiot.

I havent played NV for a while but I like to play with muh realism mods, but I find that this makes playing as a melee (especially unarmed) character very difficult without resorting to being a TES stealth memer

As far as I know it is possible, so long as you play with an unarmed build.
I think one of the homemade weapons can tranquilize enemies as well, but I think 'pacifism' only applied to human enemies - you still have to kill animals & mutants.

I thought there was a perk that allowed you to "pacify" enemies if they were low on health and you were in the process of pointing a weapon at them, it wasn't universal (individual for humans, robots, mutants etc) but I think it should work. Can't remember how late you can get it.

Anon it's been already tried to have a NV general on /vg/ and it's been shown that it doesn't work. People who browse /v/ and /vg/ are different kinds of people, obviously if you force one of them to move somewhere else they'll just come back to their home board instead of staying because of the nature of the boards being different.

There are plenty of generals on /vg/ that die off after a while, or quickly and never have "threads" here, or if they do, they're immediately derailed (Hollow Knight). The reason these NV threads stay up is because, comparitively, there are no other real "generals" here, therefore it's less noticeable. If every franchise without a /vg/ general started making threads in the way OP organises them, you would take no issue?
