You have any dead friends on your friends list, /v/?

yes actually, but their steam is on snooze
they've been dead for a bit over two months now, and they've yet to go offline in steam
i assume that it's running on a hibernating laptop or something, maybe their desktop is still running
i have heard about families not wanting to change their children's rooms at all after they die, so it's possible that they've been unwilling to touch his computer
i haven't, and won't be bringing it up with the parents, though i never had much contact with them anyways
what's the story behind yours?
I have a couple Mormons who left the country for their missions.
>>378730902
yes, me.
>>378730902
Yup
I wonder what happened.
>>378730902
I'm not entirely sure if this guy's dead or not; He was offline for 270 days and I thought he was dead, but he came back for 2 months.
>>378730902
Yes, and for about three years it was offline and then a couple of months ago it said he was last online a few weeks before. Haven't checked lately. Bit weird, I just figure it was one of his brothers or something. Still, a long time to wait before logging in. Might something on Steam's end have caused him to go "online?"

I left home for around a year, day I was supposed to come back best friend was found hanging in a tree near an old monastery. Pic related
>>378732512
Oh, and I know he's dead, he was a friend IRL.
>>378732512
Yes sometimes your friends last online time will switch to your last online time (since you logged in)
>>378732701
>>378732512
oh never mind you said it actually showed him as "online". Nope, not as far as I know.
>>378732513
sorry to hear that
that's a beautiful place to go i suppose
>>378732762
It didn't go green and say he was online. Just the "last online X weeks ago" thing. So maybe it was the first thing you said.

I've only got one friend on Steam, and he declared gaming was over in his life.
I bought his computer.
Pretty sure she isn't dead, we went to different schools
She was a really nice girl, Chinese albino and we played a ton of Terraria last summer
I havent signed into my steam for over 1400 days but im not dead yetsoon though

Gaming was over in his life?
If you enjoy something, why would you stop?
Going to their profile for this screenshot was more difficult than I thought it would be.
>>378730902
My father.

Maybe they'd decided they had enough? Grown up? Had an unhealthy obsession or habit and worked to end it as an only solution?
All you have to do is uninstall the game clients and not bother with them.
Yeah, I had a D&D buddy who was soft spoken and kind. His fiancé dumped him and was engaged to someone else within 3 months. They had been together 5 years and he still loved her despite everything she did.
He jumped in front of a train a few blocks from my house.

Why are women such wretched and cruel creatures?
>>378730902
What if they just get a life?
yep
mw2 was literally the only game he owned
Yup, been gone 5 years and I hope he's dead.
>>378735990
not again
No longer on my friends list, but 5 years ago some random dude invited me to a highlander TF2 team. We placed second in our group and advanced to the higher division.
But for some reason this fucker kicked everyone out (didn't inform us btw) besides his IRL friend and invited new players to the team.
They lost every single match and placed last.
He died 3 months later in a car accident.
Deserved desu.
