Why? It's deliberately designed to be obtuse to actually obtain the content you want, unlike direct purchases you are forced to go through RNG whether through buying crates or just waiting. Sometimes you get lucky but these systems are profitable specifically because they are anti consumer and drain more money for the same content over direct purchase models.

This is the burning question to me. How are people even able to play it so much? I could barely tolerate one game per day when I was "actively" playing it. It's like you took all the peaks and valleys of the Dota experience, and slashed down all the peaks. It just felt like you did OK, or did shit, never felt the adrenalin rush of going hard in the paint like you get in a good Moba or CS.
