Too much shitty character design in this game, main character included. Lego men have more personality and expression.

I like silent protagonists a lot. It's just that characters should have suggestive, fun appearances whether they speak or not. Hollow Knight characters are a bunch of shitty doodles, which is a shame because the environments are really fucking nice from the bits I played.

Move Aria of Sorrow down a notch, would you? It has no business to be that high and pioneered nothing.

Core movement perks are locked behind too much of the game.

Too much of the game is also optional.

Still almost my favorite metroidvania of all time
