What are /v/'s official tips for Nightmare mode in Alien Isolation
>>378703061
Watch out for that Alien. It'll kill you if it gets you.
Keep moving from cover to cover. Be mindful of the ceiling drool.
>>378703061
>Coruch and walk only
>DO NOT RUN
>Dont waste fuel
>Dont rely on the motion tracker
>Dont stay in one area for too long
>Dont squander resources
>Try not to attract attention in the first place
Also save the flamethrower for the nest. Matter of fact forget you even have flame thrower up until that part.
>>378703061
Avoid the Alien at all costs, facing it head-on is the opposite of a perilless endeavor, downright suicidal some might say.
Was it ever confirmed that the alien comes for you if you stay hidden for too long? Like inside a locker or one of those cabinet things.
>>378703538
The alien got me a couple times while in a locker
A very bad feeling VERY bad
>>378703538
Can confirm. Also in nightmare mode it learns your evasion techniques. So you cant keep fooling it. Learned the hard way. Actually you can add this to the list of tips as well.
Try mixing up your distractions. Also dont use EMP charges unless you need to. They still work on the droids but its not as long lasting.
>>378703061
the alien's AI is just unfair and stupid
Hide as much as you can. The flamethrower is pretty useless in this mode.
>>378703370
>Coruch and walk only
Fucking this. The alien can hear you much clearly when you run. It may be slow as fuck but you wont die as much. And you will die A LOT.
there any good''let's play''to watch?
>>378704487
Only person I know to lets play it is Slowbeef and he is a clueless baby when playing games.
>>378703061
That poster is fucking GOAT
>>378704487
This guys alright. He doesnt speak in the video as well.

>>378703061
Smoke bombs dont work on the ayy so just save those for survivor parts etc.
>>378703061
Make sure you know EXACTLY where you are going, what you need to do when you get there, and what the shortest distance between any two points are at all times. The only way to stay safe is to keep as much distance between you and the Alien as is possible at all times, and the best way to do that is to keep moving and not dawdle when accomplishing objectives.
>>378703061
One of the biggest difficulties is that you have no map. With that in mind it would be a good idea to first start a novice run, learn most of the station and then play on nightmare.
>>378703061
Rush the alien head on and punch it in it's stupid-ass alien faces
>>378704961
thanks man having a boring night searching for some movies to watch
guess i will watch this guy
>>378706213
I'm still mad as fuck that this guy was just a suit all along
>>378707958
Prometheus was a mistake.
Why doesnt SEGA get CA to remake colonial marines? They clearly have the know how and everyones forgotten that gearbox turd ages ago.
>>378708767
Why not just make the next AvP?
>>378707958
It's ok dude, you don't have to made senile Ridley's money-drunk ramblings your headcanon. For me, Alien is the only movie that was real. All the others were just fun little spinoffs by children
>>378708895
This would be more logical.
>>378708952
This.
Honorable mention to Aliens for being a decent movie.
Honorable mention to Alien: Resurrection for being a piece of entertaining schlock.
>>378709078
Bingo! I also give honorable mentions to Fassbender because he's so fun. And K waterston because she ismy waifu
>>378709016
Some CEO was literally begging Sega to let them make another AvP
It's not gonna happen. Sega seems allergic to sequels
I know at least two other dev studios begging Sega to let them make sequels to games that have been financially successful. Goddamn, what is Sega doing anyway
>>378709759
After failures like the dreamcast and whatnot, they kinda just play it safe. Essentially the opposite of Bamco.
How's the DLC?
>>378710567
Pretty good! Crew expendable especially. You can play them on nightmare mode as well.
>>378710675
Cool! My copy was the Nostromo edition so it came with the two Nostromo DLCs, which I really enjoyed. Do the other ones have as much story?
>>378710567
Crew Expendable allows you to resolve the bonus situation once and for all.
>>378710827
HOL UP
WERE DA BONUZ
>>378703061
Alien a shit and full of shit tropes
Event Horizon: The VR Experience when?
>>378703061
instead of hiding in lockers, hide behind any waist high object, the alien can't see over em. This also makes the motion tracker redundant
if you use one puff of flame while the alien pounces at you it'll fuck off but deal some health damage (good thing is, there's not a lot of things in the game that actually deal damage to you so it's fine)
and most importantlyplay an actual stealth game instead of a broken red light green light simulator
>>378710932
Alien is very good and your grammar meme is very dumb. But you're right: Event Horizon is fucking sick.
>>378710992
Oh. I didn't know this. This is dumb, that the alien can't see over things.
The alien learns about the flamethrower though, so you can't do one puff more than once. It will plow through it
>>378710932
Just play dead space 1.
>>378711079
>The alien learns about the flamethrower though, so you can't do one puff more than once. It will plow through it
not if you do it while it leaps
also just pointing it at the alien and backstrafing to your objective might also work, but I haven't tried it
>>378711272
Guess I learned two new things from (You) today. Thanks, anon
>>378710791
Which ones were they again? Were they crew expendable and last survivor? I thought the Nostromo edition only came with crew expendable.
>>378711524
Oh, I think you're right. I just bought last survivor because it was $4 and I love Ellen.
>>378711716
Last survivor is great. Wish it was longer though.
>>378710992
yeah this kind of annoys me
he can see under tables and stuff from a distance though
>>378713329
>he
>>378713329
that's why you hide behind the table, not under it
