DOOM
Visually, sure, but the gameplay still holds up just fine, HL1 as well.

I love System Shock 1 but goddamn.
>>378695336
the music sounds like shit
>>378695336
Honestly? That sort of shit just makes it creepier, combined with the Silent Hill esque music (Engineering level for example). The only part of System Shock 1 that aged like shit was how aiming/looking around was controlled - and even that was fixed.
Not really. Anyone can start that game and play it today for the first time without any issue. Its graphics and gunplay hold up well enough.

Wat
There's a whole community still alive and kicking, that's how good it is
Fallout New Vegas
Can't even rec it to friends because of how bad and outdated the vanilla version of the game is even though it's only 7 years old.

Probably the only correct answer in this thread.
OP, I'm also a contrarian faggot that dislikes HL2 but it didn't age poorly.

GTA 3, Morrowind, Oblivion, Warcraft 1 & 2, Age of Empires 1, the vast majority of PlayStation 1 games.

it aged poorly in that the technology wank it banked really hard on isn't nearly as impressive as it was back then save the facial animations which people are still fucking up today.

It did, at least visually. Even compared to games of its time the incredibly low poly geography, especially buildings, stood out pretty bad.

nah
Played it for the first time last year and loved it. You just need some tolerance for old school pc gaming

FF7, "cinematic" games.
