also my dad only ever played pinball games on atari/snes and mario kart double dash with me a few times because I begged him to and he only had to press a to throw items. i have a really early memory of my mom playing donkey kong country 2 with me.

I keep buying my dad games on his Steam account, but all he ever does in his free time is play fucking Candy Crush on his phone. This was the guy who got me into PC games with stuff like Wolfenstein 3-D and Descent back in the day.
