Considering that's the best way to break a high level fight in KH2, lets take the same stance for FFXV. In that game, it's best to grab the daggers from a post-game quest, stack tons of buffs, then basically just hold down attack or repeatedly warp strike into enemies.

What that basically ends up being is holding down the attack button and occasionally moving out of the way/warp striking. That's about as brain dead as what's shown for KH2. Add to it, FFXV doesn't require any game-breaking combos due to how easy it is. So long as you buy tons of items, you literally cannot die. Just keep spamming elixirs and phoenix downs. In KH2, you'll run out very quickly and healing magic is centered on a timer, so you can't spam Curaga.

Neither has particularly good combat, but at least KH2 gives you a reason to exploit some of the mechanics and think about what combos are available. In FFXV, you can go through the game basically just holding down the attack/dodge button without changing once, even in post-game dungeons.

Man, Tonberries are ass to fight in FFXV. Try to fight them legitimately and they'll just stab you to death. The only way I found to deal with them was through group moves, armiger, or just doing exactly what the person does in that webm. Hell, I was halfway through that exact dungeon, came across two floors of Tonberries, and just got bored enough to quit.

Better than the Bombs though I guess. Nothing like my entire screen being filled up by purplish explosions being chained together until there's a room full of them.

I'm the emulator, physics are a bit wonky and what happens here is Terra isn't landing fast enough to launch a counter. This is not an issue on PS2, PS3 or the PS4 version, only the emulator.

I think the director is the bigger problem, you can tell that the team had some good ideas with the combat especially early on and at least on a technical side they're competent and the monster models look great etc. except for Bahamut.
