You sound like me this time last year. I stopped playing/following games just because they were cheap/advertised. I did a lot of thinking about what I actually "like" and ended up uninstalling/unplugging nearly everything and picking up other activities that were in my mind for YEARS but kept on getting cockblocked by vidya (mostly getting /fit/ and art).

I'll probably never quit 4chan though. Yall are okay.

From my experience:

A week away from vidya will usually break the "habit" of just opening up a game because you're at your PC because that's what you do when you're there. Start thinking of your PC as a work/school only tool--if you're invested in social media at all, disengage.

What do you fantasize about when you think of future you? For me I was always fitter and better at art. Like I'd daydream about shitposting on a drawfag blog after a workout, that kind of shit. Set believable goals and crawl toward them.

If you still want vidya as a time killer (which I did), use single player games because they have no strings attached to both participation and performance. As an added bonus to being fit, you can be as autistic as you want in public and as long as you look good nobody gives a fuck.
