/v/ has always had a huge boner for FEAR ! It's easily one of the greatest FPS games ever made.

Great visuals, great weapons, great enemy AI, a bit spoopy at times - but not much.

Besides, Mythbusters tested this shit a while ago. A bullet CAN make un-pinned grenade go off, but it can also totally demolish it and render it into a dud.

I played the demo back in the day.
Shit happened all around me and none of it seemed relevant for gameplay.
Some ghost showed up. I shot at it. Nothing happened. It went away eventually.
No idea if shooting actually did anything.
I wasn't really spooked, just very very confused as to what the game wanted from me.
Never actually picked it up.

Great game, might be my favorite FPS. I wish there was more encounters with bigger groups of enemies, but I guess that's what Extraction Point is for.
