Cop Escape is pretty balanced right now unless the caller has a good version of the cop timer mod.

But, Evolve was good and at launch (and up to at least the first four months is was out) was pretty much a 49/51 win rate that usually fluxuated between the two side. Then people got good at the game while many others were either too new or just never learned how to play Hunter and the Monster suddenly got too hard to do if your Trapper was shit at doming the monster (which took quite a bit of skill) then they made the dome instant instead of making it sort of a trick shot to pull off. Even then new players had trouble using the dome and then they just gave all hunters a dome to use and no one used it intelligently and would just dome the second the monster was in sight ruining all strategy. No game since has ever gotten that close to a 50/50 win rate in an asymmetrical PvP yet.

I've been watching the game for a few days and it kinda feels like another Evolve situation of just a lot of running for about 3/4th's the match until the last quarter is all about action. The level is also really big, too big for literally one guy to chase down so many opponents (even though he can jump around)

It be neat if Jason could, I dunno, get nature to help him out a bit. Summon a bear or wolf temporarily just to keep the pressure on? Maybe Pamela Vorhees can be DLC for two Jason action.

Honestly, it surprises me how i never see Jason popping to my location once i call the cops/start the car. The audio cue is pretty easy to notice.

I used to think the reason i rarely saw Jasons going to the car was that it was hard to know when it is turned on, but i had a game where the counselors started it like 5 times and i was able to intercept them pretty quickly without fail, they should pay more attention.

What really killed the game though was that they couldn't do balance patches because of retarded deals with MS and Sony to make all the platforms the same. Not to mention that there was no other strategy other than to chase. It's not like you could go around and kill food to slow its growth as the corpses sat around for ages. Ive hopped into plenty of lobby's with mostly no mics, just to have people turn them on when they see people using one. so if you get a mic and hop into a no mic session don't be discouraged to turn it on. I think you can set the game audio to go out the headphones as well.

Plus try to make friends while there's still server issues, I've added like 7 people and I just start the game, hit quick search, and start rolling/setting perks. By the time I'm done I've either found a game or got an invite.

The game is full of bugs but its so much fun that I can overlook them. What's more, it's one of the few games where losing is just as fun as winning and a lot of people can't seem to understand that. Actually, one of the first "professional" match-ups after the game was released the Hunters were playing on the Dam and just left for the left cave, killed everything in it, then across the river and killed everything there and they did this so fast that the monster could only get to Stage 2 before the last corpses of fauna were decomposed, so actually that was a strategy to use, but was difficult to pull off.

And I agree. Getting that clutch dome capture back when it was 3.5 seconds to close the dome. Also, a good team would usually keep the Trapper alive in the dome why the monster focused him and left a blind eye to the Hyde who had tossed a Toxic Grenade on the Trapper and flame the motherfucker right up its ass. There was no excuse to die in a dome unless you were down a player or domed the monster without your team around.

Chase the monster. No. That was not smart to do. Know where the monster is based on sound, sight, the map, and support from team mates and then head him off.

It's doing well. /v/ seems to be sticking to its guns that it's a dead game because of its mixed Steam reviews, but it seems to be enjoyed by streams, which is helping it a ton.

Its biggest challenge is how quick they can fix all these issues and release new content. At its current state there just isn't enough, and they spread it out way too fucking thin. It's in dire need of a new map.
