These are the biggest issue with modern nintendo. Even if they're objectively solid games, half of their exclusives are 2D platformers. They drifted away from them during the N64/Gamecube era, and the libraries of those systems benefitted from it. They're a relic of the past and should be left to the indie scene while Nintendo focuses on must-haves that actually make use of the new hardware.

Dreamcast had a lot of games ported to GameCube/Xbox/PS2. Skies of Arcadia, Evolution 1&2, Sonic Adventure 1&2, Shenmue 2, Crazy Taxi 1&2 (CT3 was essentially just a compilation of 1&2), Grandia 2, Headhunter, etc. Hell, Chu Chu Rocket got a GBA port. If you're gonna fault the Wii U for having all it's games ported to Switch, then you can't claim the same thing didn't happen to Dreamcast.
