Riots incompetence. Game was fun in Season 1 and 2. Season 3 is when it started to get worse, with 4 and 5 being completely fucking stagnant trash. I don't know about anything after, cause I quit in the beginning of 5.

What was the downfall? The esports shit. They have dedicated SO MUCH resources to trying to establish themselves as a legitimate sport that everything about the actual GAME started to suffer. Can't release too many heroes or you risk messing with the competitive environment. Can't make too many changes too quickly, the competitive environment will suffer. Game was in near constant flux in season 1 and 2. One week you'd see a hero in almost every game; the next it would be a completely different one. Every 2 weeks a new hero and every week a balance patch. Sure it fucked the servers all day when they patched (it took them hours to patch back then for some reason), but at least there was constant new elements and change. When I quit, it was maybe a patch a month in a half and 4 heros a year.

Not to mention they just outright refused to rebalance any of their existing non-SR maps. Last I heard, they just flat out fucking removed them, which is the ultimate goddamn disgrace. Remember when they were going to create a new map? Magma Chamber? I'm not talking about the shitty 1v1 map (which they also cancelled), I'm talking the fuckhuge map with cool, fresh ideas that they just decided "lol, nvm. Our other maps we didn't put any real resources into balancing failed, so this would probably fail too".

Fuck Riot. Everybody who made LoL a fun game back in S1 and 2 are gone now, driven away by shitty prioritization and developer autism. It's now filled with diversity hires, trannies and LITERAL keks.
