Only if it's advertised as a short game with an estimated game time that has a reasonable margin of error. It's jewish as fuck to buy a game, knowing that it's quick to beat, then refunding it after you beat it. Whether you should make a game that short, which it fine by me but unless it has massive replayability I'm not buying it, is another topic..

I like the idea some anon posts once in a while when we get these reposts - every game on Steam is free for a few hours, then you pay for a permanent unlock. Let Valve and the game devs work out how long the free period should be.

Cuts out the problem of people abusing the return program for free shit, saves devs the trouble of making demos (not like anyone does anymore), saves customers the hassle of falling for hype and deceptive marketing.

I don't see how that is a big problem. Refunding a game you completed AND enjoyed is a dick move but I'm pretty sure you can get locked out of the refund system if you abuse it.
