Between Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld, which one is better and why?

Dwarf fortress is significantly less accessible but is multitudes better if you have powerful enough autism to get into it.

Rimworld just feels more like a game

Dorf has a lot of unfinished or needless things, there are skills who either don't serve any purpose or are just so specific that they feel pointless. Rimworld has more skills things merged together that streamlines these needless mechanics.

Also Dorf is a bit non-intuitive in the "gamey" aspect. For example, a master quality pickaxe isn't any more useful than your starting no quality copper pickaxe. The list goes on.

I wish I could get dwarf fortress and play it understanding what is going on, but I guess I'll just stick with rimworld.

I got bored of RimWorld after about 20 hours. It felt incredibly tedious throughout.

That's not to say I don't like the game. A lot of the systems in RimWorld really appeal to me. However it's just that the overall gameplay isn't great.

dorfs are free and made out of love autism. so it wins
