I remember killing him on the hardest difficulty with no problems, but I don|t remember how precisely. I think it involved some trick with the gargoyles, or maybe I'm just remembering the fight wrong.

Oh shit now i fucking remember! i played witcher 2 some months ago. Yeah this fight nearly made me broke the keyboard. I keep getting stuck of the fucking terrain. Actually the debris scattered through the room has some nasty invisible walls around it.
