Battlespire starts off in the wizard tower called "The Battlespire" which is supposed to reside in that void. Mehrunes Dagon takes over and fucks that up, however, trying to make it one of his realms.

After the second level (the game has eight levels total) you spend the entire rest of the game traveling between various realms of Oblivion.

I like it. The dungeon design is a lot better than any of the real TES games. But that shouldn't be surprising since the entire game is nothing but a linear series of dungeons. I tried the GOG release (which uses DOSBox) recently to replay it and it ran pretty well except for one of the more open levels which takes place on an island and lagged horribly in the city. Pic related is by far the worst part of the game in terms of performance, you can see it improve a lot when the character goes indoors in the last couple seconds.

I use the Start Sequence skip where you start on a boat, and a lot of immersion mods like real windows and weather in addition i also like the Better Cities, it's just too bad all the new NPCs are generic no names. I have no clue what to use for Combat and Magic. Although with that roll I'm a Khajit Archer living in Anvil
