Despite what /v/ seems to think, I don't think Nintendo really sees the Switch as a 3DS replacement. It's really more of console that could also be played around the house or on road trips, rather than a "stick it in your pocket and bust it out whenever the moment arrives" type of portable. This doesn't necessarily disprove anything, but I'm pretty sure it's impossible for Bowser Jr. to be on that frame given his current spot. In the screenshot, he's performing a dash attack, and is pretty deep into it, as the buzzsaw goes to the left first before moving to the right as shown on the screenshot. On the 3DS version, you CAN do a dash attack there, but you wouldn't get to that frame until you reach the edge of the cliff, whereas Bowser Jr. is not there yet in the screenshot. Plus, the version of the stage shown in the screenshot has LESS room than the 3DS Paper Mario stage, making it far more difficult to get into that position.

tl;dr couldn't recreate that frame of Bowser Jr's attack on 3DS and the leak version of the stage has less room to do it

After just looking at the leaked images myself

It's more than faked for me. The quality of the character's textures doesn't even come nearly as clean as the Wii U characters, everyone looks ripped out of the 3DS version. And I'm not saying it looks cut and pasted, I mean like emulated from the 3DS version and upscaled. That's what these look like; someone emulated the 3DS Smash Bros and upscaled the resolution and thanks to that, the graphical quality doesn't look pixelated like it originally does on the 3DS. Just look at Pikachu, his model doesn't even look like the Wii U one.

The fact everything shown was even content all from the 3DS version rings red signals. And that Yoshi Melee TS also ruins it, Unique TS AREN'T coming back. We have nearly 60 characters, they aren't going to do all that for a port of Smash. Just wait for E3 for anything Smash related.

Reminder that the Switch's architecture is much closer to 3DS than the Wii U's so it's be a much easier porting job to just use the 3DS game as a base and improve its textures than trying to import models from Wii U and rerig everything. From that point, it's a matter of rebuilding stages from the Wii U version in this engine to add them to the game.

These screens are all still fake as shit for numerous reasons pointed out, but just trying to put it out there that we're more likely to get the 3DS version with Wii U content added to it than the other way around. Which is fine by me, the 3DS version was objectively superior outside of being stuck on handheld controls and everyone needing their own copy to play together.

As a member of the smash 4 competitive community swear to God if the rest of the autistic faggots don't move onto the switch port of Smash because they can't play with GameCube controllers I'm going to be furious .

I'm expecting two new characters, hopefully at least two more tournament legal stages and a big balance patch using the data from the entire last year of play with huge buffs to characters like Dedede, Puff and Roy. More stages and a balance patch could do wonders for the competitive scene man. But I really can see everyone being like "no GameCube controller no buy".
