i hope they go back to the way assassin's creed 2 was. i've been playing the trilogy on PS4 and I really like how they did climbing and combat in this game compared to every other entry. people will say the combat was better in unity but i hate that shit. i loved the swift executions and trying to kill 30 guards at once without letting them break your streak in ac2. i literally felt like a badass.

Vikings and Russians would be cool, but they'll never do games for them. Russia is exclusively comics material and Vikings have never been affiliated with Assassins in any of their lore for some reason. Just an entire region of the world where zero assassin activity ever occurred.

They'll do this Egyptian one as a lead up to the inevitable Eden game, where you play as Adam and Eve during their revolt. Then they'll go full on modern day assassins where you play as the characters they've created.

Not him, but in AC2 your climbing changed a bit if you let off A after starting a climb. You'd slow down and get more deliberate. Also, you could run straight up walls and then jump sideways to execute some cool jumps.

Still. 98 percent of every Ass Creed climbing is " hold run to climb " but at least in 1 and 2 you had to hold A and R trigger and there was a tiny bit of variation in it.

You never had to hold A/X to climb after you were on the wall, anon. AC2 introduced the "Strong Climb" which pretty much meant that you climbed faster if you held down R1/RT. It also added sprinting on catwalks
