There is no designated MT OR OT in this game. The WAR typically pulls for the DRK/PLD and while they tank, they take advantage of the insanely good self healing thye have with blood bath, equilibrium and second wind. They dont use these skills outside of the opener because they shouldnt ever need to be in defiance since WARs have insanely good mitigation.

The biggest downside to Equilibrium was that it needed to be done in Defiance. Dark release does not require you to be in grit for its activation. This key difference is what will propel DRK, or any tank in this game, into the designated MT. Dark release is what PLDs have been asking Clemency to be for years.

dungeon run? it's not that hard tank friend. Healer netflix is sorta true. But raid, some cases are a certainly. Healer dont really have combo, so they do rely heavily on timing and focus. The easiest way you can run your raid smoothly is to memorize your boss pattern and be quick with your finger. They are taknig off cleric stance next expax so you dont have to worry about dpsing. even thought I actually hate that they took it off.

You're right, I should have wrote it as the tank who typically holds the boss after the unchained pull.

You want the tank who can self heal like crazy and has solid mitigation to tank. The only reason why WAR didnt tank much more was because it needed to be in defiance for its self healing, which is a DPS loss, and also because PLD gained DPS via shield swipe and DRK gained everything and a half by being hit. With all of those tools that required to be hit gone, the only real tank who holds the boss mostly will be revolved around whatever nets the highest DPS gain.
