Nuclear disarmament was a rigged game from the start. Aspects such as blockades make it physically impossible to achieve. Recently "J-san" joined the Survive team, preaching nuclear disarmament. J is on the bridge Del Toro enters and J signs the PT system crash screen. For the first time in about seven months Konami have been providing daily updates on the nuke counter, with E3 right around the corner. They also said they'll remove nukes obtained by "cheating" and will be making it easier for disarmament to be achieved (e.g, removing blockades). It was a rigged game from the start, Kojima will only allow us to reach it when he wants us to.

I've posted this pic a lot but if you haven't seen it it shows the helicopter never "crashed" in GZ. After Paz dies they returned to Camp Omega and something happened. The Camp Omega ending will retcon TPP into a coma nightmare / VR simulation.

It's not exactly conclusive, but here are the numbers.
The current event's rewards can only be traded for event points until one hour into Sony's conference. This fits very well with last year's conference, considering Kojima's appearance late into the event.

However, the start-up notification suggests it's going to miss the mark entirely. I don't know if event rewards cannot be exchanged after one point, and it's impossible to check at this point.

It can go down in many ways two weeks from now, but the dates are too close to not notice.
