I played it once for a few hours. It was sort of like i remembered it but the story segments in between are annoying. Can I just skip to the multiplayer and get all the upgrades there?

It will probably take a bit longer, but at least in the MP shop you already have access to all the skills, you just need to refresh the shop.

Where are you in the campaign? There's a really easy mission where you can get tons of credits really fast in chapter 5.

Another tip if you're going to play multiplayer: you can ressurect your team members in tag. Just get to their corpse and equip and use them as if they were a skill orb. Not a lot of people know you can do that it seems.

Also, the dpad can be used to see the descriptions of skills you have equipped.

You mean the game? It's an action/strategy game. Think of something like Magic the Gathering, but you play as characters in an arena, which can be destroyed and debris can also damage you. There's 300+ cards/abilities and you can create your own strategies with different skill and types.
