The Wii had a fuckton more sales but I don't think anybody in their right mind will say it won the generation. It was a fad with little staying power because of the hardware issues. Hell I'm pretty sure everybody and their grandma bought a Wii but very few of the 100 million people actually used them more than a year or two after purchase. The Wii stopped getting support in 2012 whereas it's 2017 and the PS3 is still getting games for the foreseeable future.


Think about how many bought the Wii and only ever Wii played Wiisports? Hell I know the only games on my wii besides wiisports is LoZ: TP and all those dumb Wiifit rehashes my mom bought. Meanwhile my PS3 has hundreds of games on it and I still get use out of it to play PS1 and PS2 games.

I'm still playing my PS3s almost every day and there are still no games making me want to pick up a PS4. I can pirate pretty much whatever I want and play fighting games online without paying for PSN+. Not sure if I should be happy about how much I enjoyed the PS3 or disappointed in the PS4's library.

I had a few shooters on the Wii and they were all shit. They were Brothers in Arms games and they would have been decent with a freaking controller. All those gun attachments were terrible.
