Dragons are overdone, comparatively speaking in the video game field. You don't see many Phoenix or whatever compared to dragons.

Nah, they really aren't. Most mythical birds are just oversized real life birds with some extra feathers there to make them look prettier, hardly cooler or more creative than dragons, which have different interpretations but common features for each culture around the globe.
