TheNew Vegas threadwith a flamethrower? That's a combination I try to avoid.
Just about to head on to Honest Hearts.
I'm level 41, specializing in Guns. With my NCR Ranger Combat Armor and my (modded) AM Rifle, my weight is already at 56. Should I take a different gun to lighten the load (I can use the Mysterious Magnum instead) or is 56/100 good enough for HH?
>No third option where you hire on cook-cook as a personal chef
>Someone is modding FO3 into the FO4 engine
>Instead of FONV
How does this make you feel?
Any idea why I'm crashing roughly 30-45 mins whenever I play? I've ran LOOT so I'm wondering if any of these mods conflict.
It's not too bad if I save a lot..but it would be nice to play a little longer without crashes.

about to head to honest hearts too. need some gosh darn caps to get my farm up n runnin. hope the caravan doesnt get in any trouble, but if it does you can count on me killing every last fucking tribal in that canyon as payback

Because new vegas is a game developed by rather incompetent developers on the technical side, on a game engine made by other incompetent developers, in too short a development cycle.
>>378504951
That's kind of what I figure, but I figured I'd ask.
>>378504749
after playing 8 hours of fallout 4 for the first time over the free weekend, i can easily say that modded new vegas kicks the shit out of that engine six ways to sunday. everything looks and feels like it's made out of plastic, glue, and air. fucking disgusting. maybe modded looks and feels a lot better, but in my opinion it isn't worth it to put NV into fo4 anymore
>>378504773
get fnvedit and make a merged patch and stick it at the bottom of your load order
youtube "gopher fnvedit" for a video
>>378505059
Well yeah anon. Modded New Vegas looks better than skyrim, modded skyrim looks better than FO4, etc. That's obvious.
>>378505138
no, i dont mean just graphically, i mean gunplay and movement moreso

>tfw obsidian won't make a new FO game on FO4's engine
>>378504091
You should be fine, I went exactly with 60/110. You get companions and can actually go home over-encumbered. You don't need water if you're playing HC, the rivers are radiation free.
>>378505284
I haven't played Fallout 4 yet (it's in my library Todd you won) but it's probably just you not being used to animations.
New Vegas barely has any.
>>378504749
I thought people were modding NV into FO4 though
>>378505931
how
also did they fix the dialogue system yet
>>378505931
One guy is modding up to Primm in FO4 but I don't know if anyone is trying to do the whole game.
>>378505124
You're fairly certain that'll solve it? I do have FNVedit. It's just been awhile since I've done that before.
Isn't the whole point of /vg/ so that you don't have to have a thread on /v/ up 24/7 for that game you like?
>>378504773
Do you have everything like the 4GB Patcher and NVAC?
>>378506279
a thread just died a couple hours ago. these threads only get traction if people want to talk about the game, if not it dies like any other thread. it's not a general where they talk about nothing just to have the thread.
>>378506279
I don't mind them given how awful and off-topic /vg/ threads usually are but hiding x_general in spoilers in a quote from the game pisses me off more than it should do and I hope whoever is perpetuating it shits their pants in a public place
>>378506316
Yeah i have those installed.
>>378504091
How's HH for someone who uses Energy Weapons? Is it going to be a pain in the ass?
>>378506852
It shouldn't be too bad, there are ammo stashes all around the map that always have energy weapon ammo types.
>>378504749
Nothing. Tale of Two Wastelands already exists, and I'm making my own personal mod that adds Fallout 1 (maybe 2) into New Vegas. To be completed in approximately 20 years lol.
>>378506037
Cascadia for FO4 restored it. The skill checks are just placeholder at the moment i think
>>378504091 here.
Just started HH for the first time, and holy shit Joshua Graham is great. Perfect voice acting.
Shame he'll probably backstab me later.
>>378508286
just get out of the thread now, dont ruin it for yourself
>>378508405
Y'know I'm actually kinda proud of the fact that I've completely avoided any spoilers regarding Joshua Graham and Ulysses even though the game's been out for 7 years.
I'm probably going to end up spoiling it myself by going to the wiki so I can get everyone's best endings
