How many people play this
How is it?
Haven't picked it up yet, but I'm surprised at the lack of discussion.

Not enough, but its a good game.
We had a decent thread about it about three days ago. Its all about trying to find the hours when people are on.
Game has nowhere near enough marketing for what it is, especially since its a Vita game.

Story is solid, but the game ends on a bit of a cliffhanger until the third game comes out later this year. Cast is just as colorful as the previous game and the plot all ties in.
If you heard about or played the original Utawarerumono then this one is probably necessary.

its not a good game if you need fucking TRAPS to fucking advertise it for you.

Its just one of those old memes that everyone remembers.

I like the story so far, i'm around 8 hours in, but i think you can't really call it a game with the few actually battles and no choices, it's more like a fancy book.

Yeah that's basically a VN for you.

Never really played a VN, closest i came was junipers Knot. I didn't expect this game to be so text heavy, but i think i like it. but i liked the utawarerumono world since the first anime, i don't know if i would like other VNs.

Its like an entry level VN, since it has gameplay elements to break up the story.
Although the combat hardness is toned down a bit in the second game from what I've heard. First game could be pretty hard at times, and I've heard the third game also has some moments.
