Savers? definitely worth a watch, they go back to their old formula of evolution, everyone gets their ultimate form. There is more exploration about the digimon world like finally get to know Yggdrasil and get to meet the Royal Knights, maybe they overdid it with the protagonist punching digimon but you'll get used to it

Otherwise, go use the goldfish glitch to pop your money nice and high. Train your digimon, and feed them top tier meals. Within 3 new digimon you will have a mega level with max stats almost guaranteed.


For those who don't know what that is, The game has a fishing function where you fish until you don't have bait, then you can either feed your digimon the fish, or sell the fish you got from the pond to the store. If you fished with only 1 goldfish as bait, and have no other bait in your bag the game will ask if you want to continue fishing without bait. You can continue fishing, and for some odd reason the game registers it as fishing with the last bait you used prior to running out until you stop fishing. You can farm money this way and turn any training montage into a trivial hour of farming food and training.

I played World DS, it was my first Digimon game and it was okay I guess.

Very repititve, you enter a dungeon with a too high encounter rate, find your way to to the boss, kill him and enter the next dungeon and do the same again and again. The farms are kinda useless and the menus are too slow. It would also have been a grindfest if I didn't use the ultimate weapon codes. And for a game that calls itself Digimon Story in Japan, there is not much of a Story.

My final team was:

I honestly like Dusk better. World DS is a bit slower, while Dusk and start you off with Ultimates (which do devolve with the story, but you also get a Lunamon which ends up being good).The flow is also better since you start with rookies rather than having to worry about starting with In-training mons, and you don't have to wait for certain parts of the story to digivolve to certain stages.

It's also pretty grindy, but most Digimon games are grindy. It's something I've come to accept.

This. It's very different from the original formula, but it works. Until that arc that's just the main cast failing over and over for a little while, but then it ends pretty well.

In my opinion, at least. Tri so far is entertaining enough in a shallow pandering and cheap melodrama type of way, but as you can probably tell I wouldn't call it good. Tried watching Appmon, but it's not even bad, just completely unremarkable from what I got through. You level up their stats via a farm daycare. You can feed them food to increase their stat points. Evolving them and devolving them into different forms changes stat points too, and you can buy item that change your digimon's nature (atk, def, spd, etc) the main nature is the one that gains stat points the fastest. Also evolution and devolving increase friendship which is high for some good mons. You just have to treat it like pokemon's leveling just alittle more advanced.
