Weird, just started another playthrough of Stardew after a year away from it. Still hard to believe that just one hipster made everything in it, and how much /comfy/ it achieved.

This time around I'm "roleplaying" an undead creature or some shit. I dunno. Picked the Wilderness Farm, still deciding on how to achieve this aesthetic. Lots of dark, sinister furniture I'd imagine, maybe only evil chickens.

I agree, I find Stardew to be /anticomfy/ It's not just the overall day timer, it's that everything in the game is based around timers and ever-ticking clocks. Not to mention the random drops and having to worry about where NPCs are. Nothing is comfy because I am always stressing about balancing what I am doing with having enough time and energy to make it back to where I need to go. More stressful than those casual restaurant manager mobile games, holy shit.

Stardew Valley has time limits for each day, but it doesn't have any long-term things you have to worry about (like finding a spouse before they get married to someone else in Harvest Moon). Anything you don't get done on any given day can be done later, regardless of how many years have passed.
