After you help the mages escape Novigrad. I told Triss that I loved her so she would bang me. Did I ultimately negate the endgame romance with Yennifer by doing this? Is there a real option later to pick who you want to be with? Yennifer seems like the better pick in the end

in what way was the main story in BaW? and i'm not saying that in order to portray it as good even though i loved BaW i just don't think it's worse than the side quests. those vineyard side quests weren't the finest of quests you could play

The world yes. It's lush and vibrent and makes it feel like a real fantasy, just like the first 2 books.

But story wise, Hearts of Stone wins. Much more focused, better paced, and Blood and Wine has the stupid bit where in 3 fucking days you couldn't find Anrietta's sister. I'll shit, that's Geralt, and he at that point not only knows enough about her, but has Regis of all fucking things to help him.

>>
>>378479821

Unless you go in severely underleveled, the DLC is going to make Skellige into a cakewalk
>>
>>378479739
Skellige's strength lies in it's main quest line more then the other base game areas. Just buy the maps from those random merchants, jump around islands collecting quests, then inter-splice main quests with side quests. It becomes much more enjoyable. Also, honestly fuck getting everything in the water, its the games only chore I'd say.

You also probably have burnout too, since you just cleared a lot of shit.

in the books they say they actually just decided on a name and accent to appear higher status or something, and to help them get clients and the like. Yes. I recommend finishing the story/cleaning up all the regular game then engaging HoS and finishing with B&W. B&W has a proper ending/send off for the series and it feels better to play last because you go to a completely new map, while HoS takes place on the same map youve been on, it uses completely new areas and all so its not shitty or whatever but it isnt an entire change of scenery while B&W is.

There's an option in the menu for precisely that, you victim of inbreeding.
>>
>>378499716
they added a colorblind mode in the options recently

Really? That's great!

Who knows, but I was beyond mortified when I finally managed to craft it in ng+. It was my favorite set in the game, and they just ruined it. It's the only set that looks different in ng+ too, I have no idea what they were thinking.
>>
Who else was wearing school of the cat gear when they fought that witcher from school of the cat and he made a comment about it. The level of detail fuckin blows me away.

>complaining about comfy rain

It rains about as often as it does IRL if you don't live near a desert
>>
I really can't get into this game and I want to get all the way through it. The game play is pretty horrendous and the fov is sicking. I mean I got through 1 and 2 but after 10 mins of playing this I just have to put it down because Geralt moves like a fucking tank and is super clunky
>>
>>378500586

You got through 1 and 2 and you think 3 is clunky? It has bland gameplay in a lot of ways, but it's definitely smoother/more polished than 1 and 2.
>>
>>378500586
There's "alternative control" or something in the options which makes him much more reactive, did you try that?
>>
>>378500558
Actually surprised me. You got me there, CDPR.
>>
>>378500569
good taste anon
>>
>>378500684
Yeah, dodging is really just odd this time around too. I can't really pin point why that is. Witcher senses make the fov go to like 45 and it's used a fucking lot. The menu system seems all over the place so that's annoying

>>378500685
Yeah but it still feel just off, better than the standard but man it feels like he's swimming in molasses even with it.

Also gwent just kinda pisses me off
>>
>>378473008
If I could I would make it rain even more.
>>
>>378501205
>Witcher senses make the fov go to like 45
There's an option to turn that off in the menu as well.

i like velen better, i like the darker and dirtier world

toussaint is too green and nice
>>
>tfw finally beat it and visiting a w3 thread after years of avoiding them

Man, what a great game. Last action I did was do the painter quest to get a portrait of Geralt, come back home, hang my weapons in a shelf, put my armor in a stand as I don a Toussaint retirement nobleman suit, and hang the picture up.

Comfy feels.
>>
>>378502110
sucks when you complete all the side quests though, or when they are too low level to be interesting

ng+ restarts all side quests, kinda pointless to me
>>
>>378495487
That's not manticore
>>
>>378502263
I completed everything, visited every single marker, did every quest, etc.

I see no point to doing NG+ really.
>>
>>378473008
Every single time I've done the sidequest where the guy says "it's stopped raining, it hasn't rained in ages" it has been raining
>>
>>378502429
Having just recently finished a NG+ run, I kind of wish I had just started a whole new game instead. It kind of kills any sense of progression if you start at the beginning with your build all figured out right out the gate. Not to mention they fucking ruined the Manticore armor for some unknown reason.

>on a chain of islands
>ina port city
>ina swamp
>along most of the left side west side of the map is a coastline

Gee it's almost like it rains more in certian parts of the world due to being closer to water or surrounded by it.
>>
>that quest with the corpse and Yennefer on Hindarsfjall
>during the conversation with her afterwards you're given three or four of those white, not-conversation-ending dialogue options
>one of them is to berate her for destroying the garden and another is to comfort her
>depending on what order you choose she'll be either happy or upset with you

The attention to detail is impressive as fuck.
>>
>>378502564
Which sidequest was that? I don't remember this line at all.
>>
>>378503270
I'm more impressed by you remembering a name of an island in Skellige 2bh.
