The only games I'd buy on a PS Vita would be like, maybe Final Fantasy 13 and the uncharted game. The thing that makes me kinda want a PS Vita is the remote play feature so I can play PS4 in bed.
The PSP has physical versions of all the PSP games I'd want to play which is a plus. I want to play Metal Gear Portable Ops, Silent Hill Origins, The harvey birdman game, and shattered memories on PSP.
Which should I buy?
You can play psp games on vita
You cant play vita games on psp

>Final Fantasy 13
You mean 10?
Either way a Vita is the smarter choice.
You have access to it's entire library + most of the PSP games.
Or if you're into it you can hack it and get it all for free.

True, although i'm not too interested in a lot of vita games. the remote play thing is more interesting.
I also like the physical aspect of the PSP games for PSP.

Do you want to play these games?
Yes? Get a PSVita
No? Get a PSP

Ok, but isn't it super difficult to find a PS Vita with 3.60?

Sounds like you already know what you want. Why even make a thread?

Difficult choosing between having the remote play access or the physical PSP games.

Depends on where you live.
The latest models produced for NA and EU come with 3.55 and the Borderlands 2 bundle comes with 3.30.
Only the brand new JPN Vitas come with 3.60+
So if you plan to buy brand new you will have 3.60- as long as you get a NA or EU Vita.

Both shit ways to decide.
You cant remote play while being on 3.60 AFAIK.
And UMDs suck ass hard, probably the worst way to store games in history, not to mention they are really noisy and get easily scratched.
If you are going with a PSP go with a PSP Go.

Hm. What about on 3.63 or whichever allows PSP pirating with ARK?

The Vita is a sexy piece of hardware. The screen is fantastic, remote play is dope, and it has a good selection of games if you're into the more niche Japanese stuff. If you hack it, it's also a fantastic emulator for just about everything.

I already own a hacked 3DS for most emulation.
What im looking at a PSP / Vita for is to play some PSP games and *maybe* remote play although im unsure how useful it'd be on my conneciton.
