The only similarity between the two, is the artistic direction of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored 1, because both were directed by Victor Antonov.

Dishonored is still a casual piece of crap, especially the second one. So please, don't compare them with the mythical Half-Life games.

There aren't a lot of other developers pushing innovation and new ideas into the FPS genre like AS. I agree that it's not as big a leap as HL2 but was when ever it came out but at this time, between the flood of online hero shooters and meta card games plaguing FPS these days, the purity and thoughtfulness in Dishonored is refreshing.

I didn't see anything amazing in it, played it for a bit, combat is garbage compared to other games with melee system. In fact often if feels like a glorified Half Life 2 mod.

Dishonored has okay level design, awful combat and awful stealth, ultimately making an okay/average game. Dishonored will just be forgotten, if it already hasn't already.
