I dont understand why nobody makes a "modern" crt monitor that works well with retro 480p/240p. Surely people have realized that these 720p/1080p panels are junk for ps2's and n64's.

Own two, one PAL Trinitron, and a region free Wharfadale mainly for NTSC and JP older games.

Because it's not worth the effort. Simple as that.
>>
>play paper mario 64 on my old wii on my hd tv
>been a while since iv played wii so i didnt notice immediately
>switch the cords around to an old crt to play it in a different spot
>paper mario 64 looks alarmingly superior
>im not even a huge graphicsfag or anything and dont complain about that shit much at all
>even i noticed the very very very VERY noticable difference pretty much the very second the title screen popped up and i got in game to where i saved last

Holy shit, when all crts are gone, it's going to be fucking awful playing old console games on an hdtv.

Where the hell is that one from? Ripped straight out of a surveillance room or something?
>>
Rockin a 37 inch Trinitron for 6th gen and before, sitting next to a 55 inch 4k LG.
>>
More or less required for any game that requires skill of the era, looks better too

Miniscule benefits for modern games are greatly outweighed by size and graphical fidelity of modern displays

I wonder what we could have if the technology hadn't been abandoned.
