TW3 is a great game, but has some major flaws.
The handholding in quests, detective view, quest markers, etc. That kind of stuff is really upsetting to many people who love it when games give you basic direction, and you need to figure out the rest on your own. Also, the combat isn't great.

However, the quests, dialogue, character development and world building are amazing. You play TW3 mainly for the story. Some combat encounters can be tense (coming across a high level Fiend can beat pretty neat), but overall the gameplay is mediocre.

Tough question, I really love all the vidya. Even modern casualfest can often be enjoyable.

Going by the "most hours played" metric: HoMM III, Morrowind, ADoM and Diablo 1 with The Hell mod. Also Dota.

It was difficult being a Nintendo owner / fan in the 6th gen. Basically everyone at school had Xbox or PS2. It was very testing. Come 7th gen, I would get an Xbox 360, never really fancied the Wii.
