Of all the available esports atm I would probably advise getting into DOTA2. You don't even need to play with people in pubs, just familiarize yourself with heroes/abilities/mechanics and watch away. Definitely recommend it over SC/OW/CS/LoL/Hearthstone.

Downside: the matches can be long, and you will need to put some effort into learning all the shit. From Formula 1 and Bundesliga to Street Fighter V and speedrunning, Dota (and now DOTA2) remains the only thing I get back to besides chess.

Anon, these are factually wrong. It is easier for people to play Dota if they have experience in mouse-intensive games like RTS or FPS, this alone suggests there is a common basis (which is usually obvious without any proof, since we now have at least a basic understanding of neurophysiology).

No I do not like aimbots. Also now when I look many of the clips have been removed.. There was a very funny one where theres enemy nano soldier with ult being slept by his ana and he is trying to fight against the aimbot so thet he wouldnt wake him up but fails. I find myself watching some streamers once in a while, but that's it.
I used to play many games, i dropped them all after a while because they were redundant and their communities entrenched themselves in their opinions about said games because they supposely knew more than anyone else because "they played the game, they knew what they were talking about".
I will not deal with so much denial when the actual faults and issues are there open to see for everyone.
Now, how do i know you're a die hard Dota\Moba fan? Because you're defending it and putting it on the same place as RTS or FPS games.
