He played and discussed TF2 for years, got bored of it after it went to shit, then moved to Overwatch.
He use to care a lot about his content quality but now he's just kinda happy with uploading slightly edited stream clips. You can tell by the way he talks now he doesn't give a shit about anything anymore.

Knowing Star_ hates TF2 now makes me a little sad, he was the first Youtuber I ever actively followed, I liked his voice and he played really well.

Thing is I think he cares too MUCH about his content quality. He's said a few times he's not happy just pumping out a commentary video anymore.
He wants to do shit like Sweet Genius and Finn, but they take so long to make, and in particular Finn got copyright claimed the second it went up and he made no money from like two weeks of work.

He basically sees his second channel as dumping ground where he doesn't have to try as hard, yet he uses the excuse of "stop complaining that I don't make videos anymore, I still make videos, they're just on my second channel."

The fact is that in a somewhat competitive game it's just really hard to have a fun serious game when there's that big of a skill difference between players. I don't particularly like any of his highlight videos.

His TF2 videos were fun because he was a good enough player to pull off weird shit. He knew exactly what he was doing, and the game is so modular that he could make something new each time.
He popularized the market gardener so hard that it got nerfed despite hardly anyone using is even back then unless they were using the rocket jumper or some shit.
He was a good player who could get kills with awful weapons, loadouts, and self-imposed restrictions.

Now he's playing a game where every character has the same abilities every game, every team has 6 people, there's no custom maps, there's no whacky gamemodes worth more than a game or two.
So now he's just a guy who's good at Overwatch. Big deal. I could watch any other comp player to see that, and not have to deal with his complaining, and I say this as someone who likes and plays Overwatch.

Streaming became more profitable than doing YouTube videos
Add that he uploads stream highlights to his 2nd channel with almost no extra effort, and he's making the ad revenue on top of the Twitch money. I know Jerma hires an editor- wouldn't be surprised if Star did too.
I think the ultimate problem is that Star is kind of a boring live commentator (Watch how cut-up his TF2 videos are and compare it to an uncut Overwatch stream). That and that he gets really salty at Overwatch.
Compare to Jerma who streams tons of games, has an editor who clearly puts in more work than Star's editor for stream highlights, and who is actually a decent live commentator.
Star moved to Twitch because it was easier to make low-effort content and make more money. Jerma moved to Twitch (Probably because Star told him to) for similar reasons, but Jerma still puts lots of effort into his streams.
