Nah, it's still a very impressive and well-directed movie. Its themes are timeless and the cinematography is still incredible for a movie that came in the 1940s.

the quality of cinematography is not defined by the era it was made in. plenty of films from the 30s and 40s are visual marvels. Citizen Kane pioneered certain technqiues, sure, but it was by no means the first, or the only film of its time, to look amazing.

There's only one game that could possibly fit this description. The ur-game, the game that epitomizes everything that has happened since. That game is the Legend of Zelda on the NES. No other game before or since was as universal or influential.
