like fuck this is basic game design 101 you don't award the best gear in the game for beating the strongest enemy in the game that's pointless

the awesome mining machine thing is a logical reward for beating the strongest enemy because it's not related to game progression, it just lets you build shit faster but giving you weapons for beating the strongest enemy is retarded because what the fuck am i going to use them on?

Never got that far.
Couldn't beat any of the bosses after the Wall of Flesh so I kind of just gave up and just focused on building cool shit.

It's a so-so final boss.
Honestly, the cultist, even though he's weak, feels like a better final experience. He's got so many attacks, he's player sized, so it plays into that "I'm you but more powerful" sort of thing, his design is simple, but cool, and you fight him in a familiar place you know is evil.

Moonlord is also neat, his size alone makes him quite the spectacle, and he is a tough and exciting battle, but he's honestly not really any more memorable than other bosses.

I'm still waiting to see if any anon's want me to start up the server again. It only ended up lasting a day last time, however.

I've tried farming the rod of discord multiple times over multiple playthroughs and I've never once seen it drop. 1% isn't even that bad of a rate considering how many spawn, so I have no clue how I've never gotten it. Sitting in the underground hallow with a lava pit for hours never did shit.
