>I upgraded from phenom II X2 555 and it was definitely worth it.
Same. It is a massive bottleneck for modern games.
>>378390614
Upgrade to a PS4so you can finally play Bloodborne :^)
>>378394205
Play bloodborne and then destroy the ps4 console because it is a useless brick after that.

Yeah, that time came like 5 years ago.
>>378394408
>80fps gain because of mem frequency
what the fuck
>>378394680
Memory frequency is the heart of the machine.
Memory manages most shit you use, if your processor doesn't cache some shit then it falls into the memory turtle speed to do the work.
These new memory speeds are almost getting in pair with actual processor speeds, which has always been the ideal we have been trying to reach.
In the past cache memory was only affordable for the processors.
Cache memory will become obsolete once ram gets as fast as the processors.
>>378394352
>mobo
...No. The B350 mobos are perfectly capable of overclocking and they're less expensive on average than the Z170/Z270 ones you'd need if you went with intel.
>RAM
RAM in general is expensive, don't know where you've been the past year. But you can buy 16GB of cheap dual-rank 3200 MHz for around $100.
>>378394680
AMD's Infinity Fabric tech is legit.
>>378394849
i know but shit, in real world use it was always just like 10fps gains at best in very specific scenarios, this is nuts
